Yad Vashem – World Holocaust Remembrance Center

The international school for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem was established to answer to the growing interest of teachers, educators, students, and people from the non-formal education system to learn and teach about the Holocaust. The unique approach of this school states that the Holocaust must be viewed not only as a mega-scale historical event, but as a historical phenomenon of significant educational value, which must be learned and taught as such.

The Ted Arison Family Foundation chose to support the program with a long-term 13-year grant, from 2006 to 2018, totaling $1,100,000, enabling it to train teachers from Israel’s geographic and social periphery, qualifying more than 2,500 teachers via thorough studies and preparation.
