Educating for Excellence (E4E)

The nonprofit Educating for Excellence (E4E) operates to strengthen Israeli society, by reducing social gaps and creating equal opportunities for children and youth that have the potential for excellence and who reside within Israel’s social and geographic periphery. The organization assists these children in reaching excellence and realizing their full potential for excelling at school, attaining higher education, and integrating in society as contributing citizens and leaders of the future.

Active in 16 local authorities nationwide, the nonprofit operates through some 40 dedicated centers for excellence, which cater to more than 2,500 children and youth (3rd-12th grade) from challenged socioeconomic backgrounds. The program is taught by 800 university scholarship recipients from various academic institutions, which provide the E4E children and youth with academic reinforcement and positive role modeling.

The Ted Arison Family Foundation chose to support E4E activity centers in Acre (Akko), Hatzor HaGlilit, and Kiryat Shalom in Tel Aviv for seven years, from 2011 to 2018, with a grant totaling $1,625,000. This contribution benefits more than 200 girls and boys, and 80 student-counselors.
